Ayako has been working with people with various special needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and physical disabilities, for over 15 years. She is well versed in psychoeducational evaluations, IEP’s and 504’s from her case management and teaching experience. She has advised families as a high school academic counselor on course selection and pathways based on transcript analysis. She is also an experienced essay coach as a language arts teacher, reading specialist, and journalist.

Ayako is based in California and has worked with students on meeting University of California and California State requirements but can work with students from all across the country. In addition, she has personal experience as an international student, and is fluent in Japanese. Originally from Tokyo, she attended a bilingual international college. She has a Master’s in Special Education and has completed the UCLA Extension College Counseling Certificate.  She is also a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Western Association of College Admission Counseling (WACAC).
