A results-oriented professional counselor, Ms. Andrews has developed college and career readiness programs increasing students’ emotional growth, learning engagement and college acceptance rates. As Director, User Support & Training, Lisa Andrews leads the California College Guidance Initiative’s efforts to provide high-quality service to educators who use CaliforniaColleges.edu through both virtual individual user support and year-round training. Prior to joining CCGI, she served as a professional school counselor with the Pomona Unified School District. Currently, she serves as an independent college counselor at Top College Consultants, as adjunct faculty at the University of La Verne’s La Fetra School of Educational Counseling, and also as a reviewer for the Recognized ASCA Model Program for the American School Counselor Association.

Her commitment to deep equity work involves equalizing the playing field and creating pathways to college success for underserved students with exceptional learning needs.

Ms. Andrews earned her BA in Communicative Disorders from University of Redlands,  MSW from University of Southern California, Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and MA in School Counseling from University of La Verne. Lisa is a music enthusiast and avid tennis player, and loves USC football and all things Trojan-related.
